Steven Stamkos Sarnia Sting

Here is a Sarnia Sting Steven Stamkos jersey. The Sting are a team in the OHL (Ontario Hockey League) and recently sported one of the NHL's most promising young phenoms on there roster.

Steven Stamkos was the first over all pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Level Draft and was chosen by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

In his first NHL season, he was coached by one of my favorite players, Wes Walz who was the Assistant Coach at the time. He only totaled 46 points in 79 games but the vast majority of those points came towards the end of the season and after he started to personally work with Walz.

This jersey is a size 56 and was worn by #11 for the Sting and I removed the name and number and added Stamkos. If this was an actual game worn jersey it would be worth close to $2,000 at auction.

Portland Winterhawks Taylor Aronson

I have decided to gather a glimpse into my closet.
No not my skeletons but my ridiculous jersey collecting hobby that is sure to tantalize your mind and salivate your taste buds.
Or make you go; "Wow, this guy needs to get out more"

Whatever your reaction may be, here is some of the shirts I hang around my house and wear on rare occasions such as watching Woman's College Softball on ESPN6, Monster Truck Freestyle on the SPEED channel, Audrey Hepburn Movies, but usually just hockey games.

So here is a Portland Winterhawks Taylor Aronson Game Worn Jersey from the 2009-2010 season and it shows loads of nice game use.

The Winterhawks are a team in the Western Hockey League which is a Minor Junior level of hockey similar to NCAA.

They sport the Chicago Blackhawks style and have been doing this since the late seventies.

In fact, the Winterhawks used to recycle, or re-use, the Chicago
Blackhawks game used jersey's back when they were made of durene material.

You can see the sleeves are a mess of team sewing repairs due to the holes that are created from game play.

There are about 40 team sewn repairs on this jersey which I think is pretty sweet.
It shows the competitiveness and tenacity of the player who wore the shirt which, as a hockey fan, is pretty cool.
Taylor happens to be a draft pick of the Nashville Predators and could very well find himself on there minor league affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL next season.
